Google Remains undisputedly the number one Search Engine and provider of Traffic for Websites and Business Owners on the Internet.
With an increasing popularity of Twitter and Facebook for businesses, there are many people who would like to know if Social Marketing can indeed replace the effectivity of Organic Search Results or SEO.
According to an Article that I’ve Read about Search Behaviour (emarketer), there is compelling evidence that Paid advertising is often overlooked over Organic Results.
Paid advertising in the Search Results comes from Google Adwords and is often shown in the search results with a tag, sponsored results.
The article clearly shows that most people spend most of their time looking and clicking at the organic results rather than on the “Right” side of the search engines where the Paid ads are located.
This is actually not surprising because people have developed “banner-blindness” over the years.
This is a type of internet behavior that “alerts” people that the image or text is an ad and it deters them from clicking the link further.
The reason Google’s Search Engine and Ad Media Platform were so successful were simply because Google was able to create ads that don’t look like ads.
But as more and more users have accustomed to using Google as their favorite search engine, they have come to realize that the Right Side of Google are from the Paid Results and That the Left Side are from the Organic Results.
What does this all mean for your businesses and websites?
It simply means that because of these Search engine User behaviors, we can clearly see that getting Organic Search Engine Rankings are becoming more important than ever.
Relying only on Paid Advertising method is like leaving money on the table. There is definitely more targeted traffic and visitors coming from the clicks on the “Left” side of the Search Results.
